The Runway for the Roses is one of the first events kicking off Kentucky Derby season in Louisville. Such an exciting time in this little town! We're even more excited because we are a sponsor of the event this year! The event benefits Horses for Hope, who provides training in horsemanship and therapeutic horseback riding for people with disabilities (physical, mental, emotional, speech, and learning) and for persons diagnosed with debilitating or life-threatening illnesses. Tickets are still available for the event. Go to www.nfocusmagazine.com for ticket information. Please also go to www.horsesforhope.org to help this great non-profit.
We're taping our first TV segment tomorrow! Pretty exciting! Jeff has never been on TV before so it should be interesting. We will post information on the air date as soon as we get it. If you're in Louisville and have nothing to do from about noon to 2 stop by. The Bourbon Lounge is taped in front of a live audience. Reply or email us if you want more details!
Thank you so much to Sydney O'Bryan for all the work to put together the Louisville Palace Wedding Show! We had a great time and there were TONS of brides and reluctant grooms. It's so funny to watch the guys hang back, standing a half step behind their bride-to-be.
Here are a few photos. It was an amazing show in such a beautiful, historic place. Lucky to have been asked to join in.
We are participating in our first Bridal Show at the historic Louisville Palace on Friday, January 11, 2013! If you haven't ever been inside the Palace you will be in awe!! It's gorgeous and such a fun place for a bridal event. This show is not the typical show either. The tag line on the website says, "This is not your mother's wedding show...it's YOUR wedding show!" There is going to be a "groom's" section at the show too. Can't wait!!
Please stop by to see us and some of the new things we've got just for brides (and grooms)!

We just sent 20 barrels to a distillery in Sweden! Thank you Tommy! We are starting to get inquiries from all over the world! Couldn't be happier about going global!
Congratulations on your nuptials!
Your unique Bourbon Barrel Rehab Bourbon Barrel Head Guest Book needs a little special attention. It is best for your guests to use extra fine point permanent markers (i.e. Sharpie) to write on the surface of the barrel head to avoid bleeding and smearing. Once you have all your signatures and salutations use four or five coats of a SPRAY polyurethane to coat and protect the surface. DO NOT brush on a sealant as the marker will smear! Please be aware that your barrel head has recently been in contact with bourbon and will still be drying out. Your Guest Book has been reinforced but over time may still shrink and you may see the gaps between the wood expand a bit. This is all normal, so don’t worry if there is some separation. The back of the barrel head has been felted so it won’t scratch your walls if you decide to hang your barrel head (we have included a hanger and screws for you.) Be careful when hanging the barrel head because it is fairly heavy.
May your mornings bring joy and your evenings bring peace.
May your troubles grow few as your blessings increase.
May the saddest day of your future be no worse than the
happiest day of your past.
