Where do old bourbon barrels go to retire?
Bourbon Barrel Rehab of Kentucky creates products from used and vintage oak barrels that were primarily used for aging bourbon, whiskey, wine and beer.
“Typically, the ones we get may have a crack or something so they can’t be used for holding liquid,” said Liz Davis, co-owner of the company. The barrels would have been trashed if not repurposed.
Products include furniture, accessories, wine racks, benches, guitar stands and even smoker chips.
